Project 1- Design and analysis of daylight for a complete project

Project 1 :

In this project students are asked to analyze the daylight in a selected building using computer simulation tool (ECOTECT). Students may work in groups 2-3 students (we need 10 groups). Each group should work on a different project. Each group is asked to choose a building and should get the instructors approval before starting the analysis.  

 

Project location: Nablus (latitude 31.5   -  longitude 35.5)

Sky illuminance: 9000 lux

Materials reflection: walls (0.65), ceiling (0.77), floor (0.50)



Final requirements: : 

  • 3D Ecotect model with windows and internal spaces (save two 3D shots
  • Daylight factor or daylight levels for the whole building (a printed report and 2D shot)
  • Daylight factor or Daylight levels for the internal spaces (a printed report for each and 2D shots)
