Relationship between Strategic management and Risk management

Strategic management is about setting goals and plans for success,
while risk management is about identifying and dealing with potential problems that could derail those plans.
Example: Imagine a map (strategic plan) to your treasure (goals).
Risk management is like checking the weather (potential problems) before you set off,
making sure your map is good (considering risks in the plan), and having a backup plan in case it rains (dealing with realized risks).
